Trillionaire – Red Tiger, NetEnt and FashionTV Gaming Group

Players are invited to strut their stuff in this three-way collaboration, with the 5-reel video slot inspired by a song from the global fashion and lifestyle channel, and features ‘I Want to be a Trillionaire’ by FashionTV star, Anja J.

During the base game, when supermodel symbols appear fully visible on screen, they will turn into wilds and substitute for all paying symbols. Reels may at random nudge a partially visible Supermodel until she is fully visible.

Three wheel symbols on the first, third and fifth reels will activate the Fashion Wheel, where those that reach the fourth concentric circle will land a heightened win.

Additionally, three free spins symbols on the first, third and fifth reels will award eight free spins. All low-paying symbols will be removed during the free spins round.

“The combination of the high lifestyle and luxury of our brand and the unique excitement of the online casino experience is encapsulated in Trillionaire.

“We are thrilled with the results of our partnership with NetEnt and the amazing creative work of Red Tiger, and we are sure this world-class slot will serve to significantly enhance our gaming industry presence as we move into a new era of FashionTV-branded luxury experiences in igaming.” – Shai Kaplun, COO at FashionTV Gaming Group.

Book of Nile: Magic Choice – NetGame Entertainment

NetGame Entertainment’s Book of Nile: Magic Choice is a 3×5, 10 payline slot which sees players reunited with Egyptian pyramids as adventurers search for the magic free spins and expanding symbols to win big.

The most valuable symbol of the game is the Secret Book, which is both wild and scatter. If three or more books are found on the reels then ten free games will launch the magic free spins bonus game.

At the heart of the adventure is the chance for players to make a magic choice which will shape their destiny. Before the magic free spins bonus game begins, players choose one of nine symbols which becomes a special expanding symbol.

If three or more scatters land on the reels within the bonus game, players are rewarded with ten more free spins and they can choose another symbol. This retrigger feature gives players the chance to keep infinitely picking new expanding symbols all the way until activating nine special expanding symbols.

“The Book of Nile series continues to be a blockbuster performer and magic choice is a marvellous addition. Players have the magic in their fingertips to make a choice that will deliver their destiny on the reels.” – Andrey Vajdyuk, NetGame Entertainment’s head of business development.

Big Money Frenzy – Blueprint Gaming

Blueprint Gaming has introduced its classic-themed Big Money Frenzy, which encompasses a number of functions synonymous with Blueprint titles, such as transforming symbols, while also incorporating the hold and win mechanics within the money spins bonus round.

During this feature, players are given three spins to secure prizes, while each new money spins symbol in view resets the remaining spins to three. The frenzy spins mode is said to elevate the gameplay to a ‘whole new level’, where all cash values in view are awarded on every free spin.

“Big Money Frenzy is another example of how Blueprint is delivering quality content packed with a wide range of features that are in demand from both operators and players.

“With a simple yet absorbing gameplay containing fun and engaging concepts, the game is another important addition to our ever-expanding portfolio.” – Jo Purvis, director of key accounts and marketing UK, at Blueprint Gaming.

Sphinx Fortune – Booming Games

Sphinx Fortune by Booming Games is a five-reel video slot that offers up to 576 paylines alongside a pyramid hold and win feature, as well as a wheel of fortune and nudging wild multiplier and free spins.

During the base game, if the player matches symbols in any position on three or more adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel to the rightmost, they achieve a winning combination with only the longest matching combo per symbol being paid.

The 4×1 wild symbols can appear on reels two, three and four and will always nudge to be fully visible. For every nudge, the win multiplier will increase by one.

Several nudging wild multipliers will be added to a total wild multiplier. The nudging wild multiplier symbol will substitute for any other symbol except the free spin scatter and the pyramid bonus symbol.

Moreover, within the pyramid hold and win feature, which can be triggered by landing two pyramid symbols on reels one and five, once activated the previously mentioned reels will be removed during this round.

The feature always starts with three respins and each time a new value symbol lands, the respin count resets back to three. Furthermore, only the coin symbol and blanks can land in this mode.

When there are no respins left, or if all the 12 value symbols have landed, the coin values are added together and a Wheel of Fortune appears with the possibility of multiplying the players total winnings.

Additionally, if the player lands three scatter symbols on reels two, three and four, they will be awarded eight free spins.

“Sphinx Fortune is a really nice union of theme and mechanics. We fully expect this high volatility slot to be a huge success across all player groups due to the combination of exciting and entertaining features and the potential for huge wins,” – Moritz Blume, Booming Games’ head of product.

Red Tiger – Gonzo’s Quest

A revamped igaming title has been introduced by online casino developer Red Tiger, with the firm debuting Gonzo’s Quest MegaWays.

Lauded as being “among NetEnt’s best ever performers,” the supplier is aiming to add “a further layer of excitement” via the Big Time Gaming licensed mechanic, which varies the ways to win on every spin.

The title invites players to join a charming Spanish explorer’s quest for El Dorado, where intrepid adventurers could discover wins of up to 20,000x.

“Gonzo’s Quest™ has consistently proven itself as one of the best slot games on the market, so we are delighted to give it a further boost with the renowned MegaWays™ mechanic.

“The team has worked tirelessly alongside our partners at NetEnt to deliver this summer’s most anticipated slot. We are thrilled to see the collective effort rewarded with a fantastic new release.” – Carl Ejlertsson, director of business development at Red Tiger.

Play’n Go – Win-a-Beest

Set on the plains of Africa, Play’n Go promises a “new spin on the classic Buffalo-style games” with its wildlife themed Win-a-Beest title.

Played on a 2-4-4-4-2 diamond grid, the wildebeest serves as a ‘super-symbol’ and is the most valuable icon in a game that only needs two-of-a-kind to payout instead of three.

The game’s features all revolve around the wildebeest with the first two, Beest Mode and Beest Mode spins, only featuring the wildebeest, wild and scatter symbols on the reels, with stampeding spins giving players more access to the former.

Each feature expands the reels to create a 5×4 grid, increasing the number of payways from 256 to 1024, giving four times as many opportunities to win.

“This is a game all about power. The wildebeest is a powerful animal, and it combines with a strong paytable to give players more powerful wins. The features, multiplier wilds and grid expansion are all designed to add into the excitement and energy that a ‘wild’ slot like this should generate, we know players will enjoy what it has to offer.” – Martin Zettergren, Play’n Go CPO.

Swintt – Sea Raiders

Prepare for an adventure as Swintt prepares to debut “their most ambitious game to date,” with Sea Raiders debuting on Tuesday 28 June.

Promising echoes of video games, Sea Raiders offers up a player journey whereby collecting special symbols unlocks new islands on an in-game map. Each island corresponds to a particular theme with a specific bonus round.

Each of the progressive meters in Sea Raiders has five milestones, which in the base game trigger the respective bonus rounds, namely walking wilds re-spins, random wilds re-spins or stacked wilds re-spins, and once all five have been reached, the new island is unlocked.

The different islands correspond to the bonus round, so once a specific island has been unlocked, players are three times more likely to trigger the bonus round for that island. Three scatter symbols will also grant a lucky player the Treasure Hunt bonus round.

Making use of persistent data, player progress in Sea Raiders is saved upon exiting so players can return to the game, pick up where they left off and continue their progress in completing the map or playing in specific islands.

“I’ve been excited about Sea Raiders since I first heard the concept, and I’m delighted to see it being launched imminently. This is a really special title with added value for players who enjoy unlocking new slots within the same game.

“Our studio has been delivering consistently stronger games time after time and Sea Raiders looks to be the jewel in our crown so far.” – David Mann, business development director at Swintt.

Microgaming – Diamond Inferno

Microgaming’s latest introduction, developed by Triple Edge Studios, begins as a five-by-three, 20-payline slot which raises the heat with a multiplier trail, expanding reels, respins and diamond scatter wins.

On each win, a free respin is awarded as the play area expands by one row, adding ten additional paylines with each expansion. Diamond Inferno can expand up to a five-by-six reel grid with 50 paylines.

Once the entire five-by-six reel grid is unlocked, players embark on a multiplier trail, as players reach the pinnacle of the inferno with wins multiplied up to 10x.

Filled with classic casino icons, including fiery sevens, golden bars and lucky dice, Diamond Inferno also boasts diamond scatters. Landing three or more diamond scatter symbols awards players with further wins, all multiplied by the total bet.

“With exciting mechanics, rocking music and a thrilling gameplay experience, Diamond Inferno is sure to delight and excite players. The expanding reels, multiplier trail and unlimited respin potential offer the chance for tremendous wins, whilst the eye-catching graphics provide all the makings of a hit slot game.” – Andrew Booth, director of games at Microgaming.

Pragmatic Play – Street Racer

The 4×5, 40 payline Stree Racer sees users enter the world of street racing, with five drivers battling for big prizes on the reels.

If three free spins symbols hit at the same time, the progressive bonus game is triggered where players can choose one driver symbol to start their spins.

Every time three free game symbols land during the bonus round, the player levels up, gaining more free spins and transforming the driver symbols on the reels to give them the opportunity to accelerate to 2,000x their stake.

“Street Racer is a dynamic, thrilling new addition to our slot portfolio. With a high-octane theme and massive prizes to be won, its action will keep players on the edge of their seat.

“Our development roadmap is focused on crafting industry-leading slots that drive the excitement of both players and operators. Following the surprise news yesterday that NetEnt has agreed to purchase Red Tiger, CEO Therese Hillman said this morning that the deal would perfectly complement the gaming giant’s growth plans.

Through the new acquisition, which is expected to be close in time for Red Tiger’s performance to be consolidated in NetEnt’s Q3 results, NetEnt is striving to utilise the opportunity to capitalise on its scalable technology to support future growth.

Speaking on the conference call, Hillman explained: “Red Tiger has been very successful since it has started. It has quickly established itself as one of the top suppliers in the online gaming market. We have been very impressed by them over the years.

“What is appealing about Red Tiger is their very strong market presence in the UK, as well as in Northern Europe, and we think that they are a very good fit with our current strategy,” she continued.

Setting out the rationale behind the deal, the NetEnt CEO said: “Their revenues come from a broad range of customers, and they have a very large portfolio of games especially given that they’re a very young company.

“Red Tiger is licensed in the UK, in Malta, Gibraltar and Alderney. They are also certified in other regulated markets such as Italy, Denmark and Sweden. The company is also certified as a supplier in the Swiss market as of 1 July this year.”

In order to complete the acquisition, NetEnt has agreed to pay approximately £197m for all Red Tiger shares, with the remaining sum potentially becoming payable in 2022 based upon an earn-out basis, subject to financial performance over the coming two years.

This corresponds to a multiple of approximately 12 times current year EBITDA, with NetEnt’s income for the third quarter of 2019 set to include approximately SEK 55m (£4.6m) of transaction and financing related costs.

As explained on the conference call, Hillman expects that the integration of Red Tiger’s portfolio into NetEnt’s business model will create a “significant synergy” between the two, encouraging a new drive for innovation.

Hillman added: “Looking at their slot games, their table games and the other products that they have to offer, I would like to highlight that their slot games fit perfectly into our strategy with a growing portfolio that we can provide and offer into a number of different markets.

“We are very impressed by the big portfolio that they have. They also have great table games and their is a demand for more table games, especially across the US which offers a new opportunity for us.

“Red Tiger has strong jackpot products overall, they have SmartSpins, they have tournaments, and they have lots of interesting tools that we find will be great for a combined product.”

What came as a surprise to NetEnt, however, was the overlap in customers between the duo. Hillman expressed that the shared network of customers was not as large as initially predicted, which according to the NetEnt CEO, offered a number of new opportunities for the casino content developer.

]]>
Around 24 hours after Red Tiger CEO Gavin Hamilton was sitting in an office in Stockholm, putting the final touches to the deal that would see Scandinavian gaming giant NetEnt buy the developer for upwards of £200m, the chief executive was speaking to CasinoBeats about the move.

“It’s true, we signed and completed on the same day,” says Hamilton, reflecting on the speed of a deal that took the sector by surprise. “It all moved very quickly. Initial contact took place in May and we first met in June.

“From the outset, NetEnt was extremely professional and the interest in Red Tiger was driven from a product perspective. From our side, we thought about the next stage in our growth, such as moving into the regulated US market [where NetEnt is already well established].

“The speed with which it all moved after we reached agreement was lightning fast. NetEnt have been a pleasure to deal with, they delivered on everything they said they would.”

On the face of it, there are many ways in which the two businesses complement one another. In the simplest of terms, NetEnt offers global reach with leading positions in regulated markets worldwide; while Red Tiger brings to the table an agile and exciting product proposition, not least their daily jackpot functionality – just as NetEnt has dramatically increased its content output.

“At the end of the day, if we combine the two skillsets there’s just so much more we can do together,” continues Hamilton. “I really believe that.

“NetEnt’s global footprint is very appealing to us in terms of taking the next step

“At Red Tiger, we have done well in the past in maximising our own network. Our jackpot liquidity, excellent as it has been, is nonetheless limited to some extent by the distribution. So NetEnt’s global footprint is very appealing to us in terms of taking the next step.”

The management team at NetEnt has seen wholesale changes in recent years. What impact did that have on the deal? “NetEnt has a strong vision for where the company needs to go and it is very clear to see where Red Tiger fits into that vision.

“That’s why Red Tiger was on their radar and that is why it works,” he says. “From my perspective, what they laid out to us, addresses exactly the challenges that we see within this environment.”

With the ink barely dry on the deal, where do you even begin to work together? “We are at the early stages in how we best get our platforms to work together, of course,” says Hamilton, “but the low-hanging fruit is so obvious.

“The Red Tiger proposition has changed now and that changes the conversation we have with operators. You wouldn’t want to be a small content studio in this market.”

Red Tiger has been acquired for a substantial sum just 1,000 days (or so) since its first deal, back in October, 2016. It’s a rapid rise. “This remains a growth business with strong tech underpinning it,” says Hamilton. “The deal is not based on [delivering] cost synergies. The growth is the most important thing, on both sides.”

Hamilton says the management structure at Red Tiger will remain in place and the business will continue to function with a high degree of autonomy, although both parties are already busy exploring the many opportunities in front of them, “the art of the possible,” as Hamilton calls it.

“The next 90 days are key in terms of shaping the future,” he continues. “This is a huge opportunity for us and I think we can do a lot of great things, together and individually. We’re just getting going.”

Casino content developer NetEnt has entered an agreement with Blueprint, part of Gauselmann Group, that is set to further its footprints within the UK.

As a result, the new partnership will see Blueprint launch NetEnt’s portfolio of slots across its network of retail gaming machines in arcades, bingo halls, licensed betting offices and pubs across the UK.

Andy Whitworth, chief strategy officer at NetEnt, stated: “This is a landmark deal for the Netent Group in our quest to build brand awareness and new revenue streams from new product verticals. Blueprint are the market leader in the UK, and we are delighted to expand our reach with them.”

The long-term agreement is set to run for five-years with the first games scheduled for launch in the first half of next year.

Matt Cole, managing director of Blueprint, added: “The ability to offer our customers and players content from NetEnt is a massive win for our company, we are delighted to be working closely together on offering Blueprint customers a truly compelling variety of market leading content.”

The agreement with Blueprint follows on from Dead or Alive II, NetEnt‘s sequel to the original 2013 slot, being named the UK’s most successful title of 2019 by data-driven analytics platform SlotCatalog.

Commenting on the chart-topping success of Dead or Alive II, SlotCatalog added: “NetEnt’s highly anticipated sequel to the cult status game Dead or Alive hit all markets with a bang!

“The game quickly landed top positions in most major casino lobbies at the time of the release. Released in April, players enjoyed amazing gameplay, pristine visuals and perfectly matched soundtrack.

“The expectations on the release were huge, and this time the NetEnt team scored a home-run and landed above the players’ expectations.”

The shortlists for the prestigious Game Developer Awards, spotlighting the talented teams behind the top casino titles in the industry, have just been released.

Scheduled to take place on Thursday, 23rd of May at Hilton Malta, the exclusive ceremony will host 300 industry professionals for an evening dedicated to celebrating excellence.

The twenty shortlists, covering categories like Game Performance, Game Creation, Game People, Streamers, and Casino Platforms, are now available for review, with the remaining three SlotCatalog data-driven awards to be revealed at a later stage.

In the Game Performance categories, the competition for the ‘Slot of the Year’ title is set to be fierce, with ten prominent studios, including AvatarUX, ELA Games, ELK Studios, Endorphina, EveryMatrix, Nolimit City, Pragmatic Play, Push Gaming, Red Tiger and Relax Gaming locking horns for the coveted title.

Pragmatic Play is in the running for multiple accolades, including the ‘Slot Legacy’ title with its Gates of Olympus, as well as the Game Mechanic of the Year award for its MultiHold mechanic. Additionally, the studio is contending for the ‘Game Feature of the Year’ and ‘Game Design & Art Direction’ awards in the Game Creation Categories with Zeus versus Hades. Competing alongside Pragmatic Play for the ‘Slot Legacy’ award are studios such as Blueprint Gaming, Eyecon, Fortune Factory Studios, Games Global, IGT, Light & Wonder, Mascot Gaming, and NetEnt.

In the Game Creation categories, an impressive lineup of fourteen companies earned their spot in the shortlist for the ‘Game Mechanic of the Year’ title. These companies, apart from the previously-mentioned Pragmatic Play, include 7777 Gaming, BGaming, Bragg Gaming, Evoplay, Fortune Factory Studios, Hacksaw Gaming, Nailed It! Games, Omnigame, PearFiction Studios, Slotmill, SPRIBE, Swintt, and Wazdan, each having introduced a groundbreaking game mechanic that has either redefined industry standards or elevated existing features to offer players an unmatched level of gaming excitement.

The ‘Game Feature of the Year’ award also witnessed a record-breaking number of fifteen shortlisted companies, including Wazdan — with its unique feature in the Coins™ series — the winner of last year’s award in the same category. Other categories within the Game Creation segment include ‘Game Licensed Content, ‘Game Retro-Style’, ‘Game Design & Art Direction, and ‘Game Music/Soundtrack.

Among the noteworthy nominees for ‘Game Music/Soundtrack’ is Mascot Gaming, recognised for its Dreamshock Jackpot X soundtrack. Mascot Gaming has also been shortlisted for the ‘Slot to Watch’ award with Hook Up! Fishing Wars, ‘Slot to Debut’ with Crash, Hamster, Crash!, and the ‘Game Composer of the Year’ award for its Dreamshock Jackpot X soundtrack composed by Maxim Shulgin.

The ‘Game Composer of the Year’ award falls under the umbrella of the Game People categories, uniquely designed to honour the individuals responsible for the triumph of various titles. This year, alongside composers, recognition will be extended to game designers and product managers. Notably, ten individuals will contend for the ‘Product Manager of the Year’ title, twelve for ‘Game Designer of the Year,’ and seven for ‘Game Composer of the Year.’

On the streaming scene, three prestigious awards are on offer, honouring the ‘Streamer of the Year,’ ‘Next-Gen Streamer of the Year,’ and ‘Responsible Streamer of the Year.’ Competing for the ‘Streamer of the Year’ title are casino streamers Brian Christopher, CasinoDaddy, Chipmonkz, Classy Beef, Fruity Slots, GamDucks, Haddzy, Hideous Slots, and Kim Hultman (LetsGiveItASpin). As another week has passed, another slurry of slot titles have hit the CasinoBeats inbox. Put your feet up as we guide you through a selection of new releases, including Red Tiger’s capital city escapade, Nolimit City’s Wild West showdown, Wizard Games soccer sensation and more.

London Tube – Red Tiger

Take the escalator underground as Red Tiger is inviting players to take the tube in its latest 5×4 reel slot with 1,024-ways to win and a maximum win of up to x6,000 the player’s bet. The slot has medium volatility with an RTP of 95.7 per cent.

Wild newspapers are available, substituting for all aforementioned symbols in the paytable. Landing five wilds in a winning combination will provide an instant payout of x4.

Additionally, London Underground emblem symbols can drop into play, marking each position they land in with a golden frame.

On every 10th spin in the base game, a special train arrival feature occurs. This causes either wilds, multipliers or cash prizes to appear in all the golden frame positions that have been triggered by the London Underground emblems.

Furthermore, train scatters can appear, triggering the free spins feature if three or more land on the same turn.

In the free spins game mode, each train scatter that appears will move the player through different stations. For every third station that the player arrives at, a bonus will be awarded to enhance the bonus gameplay.

These bonus features are randomly provided and include additional golden frames for when the train arrival feature occurs, extra free spins or a win multiplier to enhance every win for the duration of the game mode.

Bounty Hunters – Nolimit City

Transporting players to the Wild West, Nolimit City has players hunt down thugs in a 5×3 reel slot with 243-ways to win and a maximum win of up to x52,310 the player’s bet. While using an RTP of 96.07 per cent, the game has high volatility.

Malcolm Mizzi, Commercial Director at Nolimit City, stated: “Bounty Hunters has that classic Nolimit feel, yet it brings so much more to the table and at the same time feels completely fresh. Load up on your weapon of choice and get ready to experience the full thrill of the hunt!“

When two wild gold pistols land in the same row of reels one and five, they become bonus symbols. Landing a gold pistol on those parallel cells on the same spin will activate the Mexican standoff game mode.

This causes the respective row to become highlighted, while the other rows become blocked out. The remaining row will award one free respin, while the gold pistol wilds remain sticky in the first and fifth reel and gain x6 multipliers.

Landing bonus symbols on the available row in this feature will cause another free respin to occur, in which the bonus symbol will stay sticky in its place while acting as a wild symbol with another x6 multiplier.

Throughout the game, landing expanded bounty hunter wilds across full reels can activate the ‘few dollars more’ feature, which causes a free repin to occur as the expanded wild stays sticky on the board.

In the raid spins game mode, special symbols are able to drop in on a 4×5 reel set that players are taken to after three scatters appear on the same spin.

Both thug and boss symbols can drop into the reel set, staying sticky on the reels, while special bounty hunter symbols can appear in additional reels that sit to each side of, and below, the reel set.

The feature begins with three spins while thugs drop in displaying multiplied bet amount values between x1 and x25. Each symbol that drops into play will reset the number of spins to three.

If bounty hunter symbols appear adjacent to these thug symbols in the additional reels beside or below them, they will collect the multiplied bet amount value in a meter above the board and the thug will disappear.

Boss symbols can also drop into play, with values between x1 and x5. Each boss symbol that drops in will offer a different feature, depending on the order they land in.

Once all three raid respins have been played, the player will receive a prize payout that represents the number of multiplied bet amount values collected by the hunters throughout.

If hunters remove all boss symbols that are sticky on the reel set, players will be taken to the ‘showdown spins’ feature.

This further bonus game mode uses a 5×5 reel set on which a ‘hard honcho’ boss character appears in the middle cell position.

The ‘hard honcho’ boss symbol in the middle cell will start with a multiplier of x6, and can gain the ability of each three boss symbols in the raid respins game mode.

Cup Glory – Wizard Games

In preparation for the Women’s World Cup starting next week, Wizard Games presents a 5×4 reel slot with 40-paylines and a maximum win of up to x5,000 the player’s wager. The slot has low volatility with an RTP range of 91.1 – 96.4 per cent.

Benedict McDonagh, Managing Director at Wizard Games, stated: “We’re thrilled to bring the big game to players with Cup Glory, our latest slot with exciting mechanics and captivating features that are sure to have the crowd go wild.

“With shooting wilds adding an extra element of surprise to the slot, alongside a fantastic free spins round with sticky symbols and multipliers, we can’t wait for players to take home the trophy. It’s time for kick-off.”

Wild footballs are available, substituting for all symbols other than the trophy scatter, which can appear on all reels to offer seven, nine or 12 free spins if three, four or five trophies land on the same spin respectively.

Throughout the game, a shooting wilds feature can occur. This places several wilds across the board to increase the win potential of one spin.

If two wilds are shot into the same position, the wild will gain a multiplier, starting at x2 when it occurs but building up to x5 if it continues to reoccur.

During the free spins this shooting wild feature can be triggered but all wilds that land on the reels will stay sticky in their place for the entirety of the bonus game mode.

However, wild symbols can only appear on reels two through five in the free spins.

Anubis: Link of Gods – R. Franco Digital

Ancient Egyptian gods of the afterlife roam the reels in R. Franco Digital’s latest slot, which uses a 5×3 reel board that has 25-paylines and four jackpot prizes on offer. The slot has high volatility with an RTP of 94 per cent.

Javier Sacristán Franco, International Business Director of R. Franco Digital, commented: “Anubis Link of Gods is no ordinary Egyptian-themed slot, giving players the chance to experience two bonus games and unearth the hidden treasures of the pharaohs.

“Stacked with innovative features alongside captivating graphics that immerse players in the game’s setting, we anticipate Anubis: Link of Gods being a favourite among a wide-ranging audience.”

Scatter staffs can appear, triggering the free spins feature if three or more land on the same spin. Landing three, four or five scatters on the same spin will also provide instant payouts of x2, x10 or x100, respectively.

During the free spins, the middle three columns merge to drop giant 3×3 symbols into play.

Blue orb bonus symbols are also available with monetary values, triggering the hold and win-style game mode if six or more land on the same spin.

With this bonus game mode, players are given three spins to land as many orbs on the reels as possible, with each orb resetting the number of spins to three when they land.

These orbs can also depict jackpot values of mini (x50), minor (x100) or royal (x500), and all prizes displayed on the orbs as the game mode finishes will be provided to the player.

If players manage to fill the reel set with 15 orbs, they will receive the game’s ‘gods’ jackpot prize of x1,000 the player’s stake.

Finally, wild Anubis symbols can appear, substituting for all symbols other than bonus orbs and free spin scatters.

Mayan Waterfalls – Thunderbolt Gaming

Launched as part of Yggdrasil’s YG Masters campaign, Thunderbolt Gaming’s latest slot uses a tribal Latin American theme with a five-reel slot that has a 4-5-5-5-4 row set up, medium-low volatility and an RTP of 96.3 per cent.

Mark McGinley, Chief Gaming Officer at Yggdrasil, stated: “It’s fantastic to see Thunderbolt launch its debut title as a YG Masters partner and Mayan Waterfalls is a great game to introduce the studio to our operator partners and their players.

“The multi-level bonus features, in-game progression and unique graphics really ensure this game stands out, making it a fantastic addition to our popular YG Masters portfolio.”

Wild dragon symbols can appear, substituting for all aforementioned symbols but for no bonus water, sun scatter or progress symbols.

Water droplet symbols are able to drop anywhere on the reels, activating a wild waterfall feature that places a random number of wilds across the board.

Sun scatters are also included, triggering the ancient wheel game mode that can offer one of two free spins features.

Finally, progress symbols can appear, affecting one of four progress meters that sit in all four corners of the reels, with colours of blue, red, yellow and green. When dropping into play, progress symbols will choose one of these colours before implementing itself to that colour’s meter.

When activating the ancient wheel feature, this wheel will spin through the different colour meters from the board before revealing a chosen colour.

If the chosen colour has not been filled, the game mode will activate free spins phase one. However, if the colour has been filled, or is almost full, players will be taken to phase two of the free spins feature.

In phase one of the free spins, players are given eight spins and will be tasked with collecting moon symbols for each colour meter on the board, which will give the player access to phase two of the free spins.

During phase two, players can collect full moon symbols in each colour meter to give access to the full moon wheel feature. This sees players spin a wheel to receive either more free spins, multipliers up to x20 or stacked wild symbols to be placed on the reel set.

Paul Malt, Head of Games at Thunderbolt Gaming, added: “Developing Mayan Waterfalls together with Yggdrasil is a fantastic milestone for us and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

“We have worked hard to create this title and Yggdrasil has given us all the tools needed to make this a smash hit. Through their wide distribution network, we will quickly reach players in key regions and introduce them to the entertainment and excitement we have to offer.”
